M.J. & A Accounting Day
On Friday 8th June 2007, M.J. & A Accountancy Services held a Corporate Golf Day at Grimsby Golf Club. Over 50 invited players took part playing a 9 hole team game in the morning and a 18 hole team and individual event in the afternoon.
The main prize in the afternoon was won by Jane Coutts who carded 40 stableford points.
She won on a count back from another lady Mrs Tracy Wilkinson who also had 40 points. Jane Coutts also played 9 holes in the morning prior to her successful round in the afternoon.
She was a stand in at the last minute to replace her father Ian who could not make it. After carding her 40 points Jane went out on the course again and completed another 18 holes playing in a club pair?s knockout with her husband Craig which had been arranged sometime previously. Jane and Craig also won their match so it was a very good day all round for Jane.
At the presentation afterwards Jane explained after 45 holes of golf she was ready for a drink at the bar but it still didn?t stop her dancing most of the evening into the early hours.
The first photograph shows the Lady Captain Brenda Bird receiving over ?500 in cash from the host of the day Mr Mike Brierley which was raised for the Captains charity.
The second photograph shows the overall winner Jane Coutts with Mrs A Brierley presenting the first prize, a magnificent canteen of cutlery.
