Gilby Cup
Grimsby held a qualifying round for the Gilbey Cup last weekend in sunny but windy conditions.
The top sixteen players in the qualifying round advance through to a matchplay knockout stage over the following six days culminating in a 36 hole final.
Leading the qualifying round and number one seed after a 79-10-69 was Steve Dobbs closely followed by Chris Greenbeck who returned a 75-6-69.
Two other players who are regularly featuring this year, Eddie Marshall & John Mawer, took the next two slots with net 70 rounds.
